I first joined BaBB when it was founded in 2002. I was on the Organizational Committee from 2002 to 2005. In 2018, I joined the Arts & Alliance and started to make their report at the BaBB Board of Directors meetings. I became a board member in 2020, then Secretary in 2022 and now President of the Board of Directors in 2025. I joined BaBB because, as a resident of the borough, I think it is important to support our businesses, draw in the best businesses we possibly can and show our best to our increasing number of visitors. I have seen 23+ years of positive growth in our community and am proud to be a part of it.
I am proud to have been associated with BaBB since it's inception. I feel a lively, attractive downtown borough is the catalyst for a viable region. A walkable and economically thriving downtown relieves housing pressure on the surrounding agricultural area thereby supporting our local ag community.
Having lived in a town that did not have a Main Street Organization, I can see the difference. Main Street orgs mean the difference between having a vibrant town center and a sense of community versus not having these things. The vitality and community of Boyertown is why I chose not only to locate my business here, but more recently, to move here myself.
