We are so fortunate in Boyertown to have a business and business owner like Donnie Ellixson's of Ellixson's Tae Kwon Do. Donnie just won "Boyertown's Mentor of the Year".
Master Donnie Ellixson, Jr. has been in martial arts training since 1981 and has been teaching martial arts for 33 years.
Donnie Ellixson opened his martial arts studio in 1994 when he was 19 years old. He is committed to educating youth and the adult community members on fitness, personal defense and life skills. Completion of Ellixson’s Pay It Forward Project is a requirement to achieve a Black Belt. Students must participate in 25 hours of community service and 20 random acts of kindness. Each year the Pay it Forward Project is responsible for over 250 hours of community service and over 400 random acts of kindness in and around the Boyertown Community. Donnie also volunteers his time mentoring small business owners, runs Personal Safety Courses for Women (donating all proceeds to Safe Berks), volunteers his time life-coaching to those that have fallen on hard times or have succumbed to substance abuse and also donates his time with youth groups, scout troops, daycare centers, and various churches to teach martial arts for free.
Donnie and his wife Jana, run a full time, professional martial arts facility dedicated to helping the kids and adults in our community through martial arts training. They offer children's programs, starting at age 3, that focus on developing a child's "Yes I Can" attitude, as well as amazing adult programs to fit your self defense and fitness needs. They are also a proud member of 'Martial Artists Against Bullying (MAAB).
