Studio B, located in the heart of historic Boyertown, is the home of the Arts and Activities Alliance, a committee of Building a Better Boyertown, a nonprofit Main Street program dedicated to revitalizing small towns.
The studio celebrates lifelong learning, creativity and personal involvement in the visual and communication arts and seeks to be a dynamic part of Boyertown community, a “go to” destination for learning, fun and friendship. They seek to showcase the work of fine artists in themed exhibits—some juried, some open to all—and welcomes art in diverse media. In addition to art exhibits, workshops, and classes, Studio B also hosts activities and informal gatherings on assorted topics for small groups or meetings, gallery talks, and “Getting to Know You” opportunities.
Their newest exhibit is a virtual opening on Thursday, October 22, 2020, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Facebook LIVE. It is a
fine art exhibit celebrating women in the arts and 100 years of the women’s right to vote entitled “Still Roaring 2020.”
StudioB Fine Art Gallery’s exhibit “Still Roaring 2020,” a Speakeasy opening, will showcase fine art in all media from local women artists who embody the spirit of feminism found in the Flappers of 1920.
Participating artists are Lizzie Beetles, Susan Biebuyck, Anne Chase, Suzanne Fellows, Angela Izzo, Kachina Leigh, Michelle Neifert, Kate Perkins, Karen Palcho, Abby Ryder, Erika Stearly, Kristen Woodward, and Daniella Yacono.
“We welcome you to pour some hooch, put on your flapper dress or pinstripes, and join our Speakeasy opening on Facebook LIVE,” Susan Biebuyck, StudioB’s gallery director encouraged.
The exhibit will run from October 22, 2020, through December 27, 2020, and is free and open to the public.
