Local nonprofits Mosaic Community Land Trust, Pottstown Health and Wellness and Building a Better Boyertown come together ever year to host a Garden Contest in the boroughs of Pottstown and Boyertown. The mission of the contest is to encourage and support gardening for both beginners and experienced gardeners, as this contributes to the physical and the mental health of residents, and promotes a sense of community among the residents in the Pottstown and Boyertown boroughs.
This year we had a record 72 entries total from both boroughs, 22 being from Boyertown! This past weekend, a celebratory luncheon was held at the Sunnybrook Social Lounge. In addition to monetary prizes, our friends at KenCrest painted flagstones for the 1st place winners.
